WHAAAAAAAT!!?

We were driving down Hawthorne Blvd. minding our own business. Then we saw it. A sign. We looked at each other with our eyes wide with excitement. It took me awhile for the information to register. Then I screamed. Literally. "D-D-D-DID YOU SEE THAT?" I fumbled through my purse to text my best friend.

"The Melting Pot is coming to Torrance!"

Whoo Hoo! See, Torrance is now the happenin' place. Ever since they renovated our nearby mall, we have been getting some of the good stores. First it was the Crate and Barrel. Then came BJ's, Anthropology, Jerry's Famous, and Lucky Jeans. And finally the Melting Pot. Gosh...I don't think I'll ever leave this city.

Siblings

I just realized that this is my first brother - sister photoshoot. It has always been just sisters or just brothers, and I totally see a difference. Brothers and sisters have a very different relationship...it's definitely more intimate...in a very lovely way. I love their interaction and I hope that I was able to capture it! Here are my favs.

Adorable!

Meet Melissa and Stephen. As you can tell from the photos, they are a wonderful, fun couple! They are fun, relaxed, and willing to do anything...which I totally love. My husband and I had the opportunity to photograph them at the beautiful Los Verdes Golf Course in Palos Verdes, where they will have their wedding reception in March. I got excited when I saw Melissa's red lipstick and the flower in her hair. That totally made my day.

Chasing the Sun

I have alove-hate relationship with the sun. I love it gives me beautiful light, especially right before sundown. I hate it when it is too harsh, or when it sets too quickly!

Today's shoot was just that. We had a very short time to shoot, since the sun was going down so fast! This was probably one of the fastest shoots ever!

Even with that said, I was honored to be able to photograph this lovely couple. I met them last year at my co-worker's wedding, and now its their turn! Here are my favs...

Skater Girl

You must know I LOVE LOVE LOVE taking photos. What's not to love? I get to carry around an expensive piece of equipment without my husband constantly watching over me. AND, it's the ONE thing that I know better than him. But that's not it. I love looking through the view finder and composing my shots. I get to determine what goes in my photos and what doesn't. If only I could do this everyday...

With that said, I find it my greatest compliment when my clients call me back for a shoot. It means that they like my work, and that's one of the best feelings in the world.

Remember this girl? I met her 3 years ago, when she was a 4th grader. Now, she's in middle school and is totally rocking it with her cool outfit. Mom called me in for a shoot, and its so neat to watch her grow up. Here are my favs.
