I made it to the "IN" crowd

I don't care for sports. AT ALL. I don't care about the superbowl, the playoffs, or anything of that sort. It's not me.

What I do like is to feel like a VIP. So, when Jimmy's friend Brian asked us if we wanted to join him to a Clippers game, I really didn't care. Until he mentioned boxed seats. With free food and a wet bar. AND dessert. Now how do I pass that up?

The truth is, Jimmy has been going to the Clippers game with Brian for quite some time. I was never invited...until now.

Ha! I am sooooo in the "IN" crowd. Here's a photos of me a little too excited. Yes, you need the golden ticket to enter the room.

I am so clueless and so out of touch that for the first few minutes, I was cheering for the wrong team. Opps. Totally thought the Clippers were purple.
Oh well. Here are some action shots of our beloved Shaquille O'Neal.

...yes, the Clippers were up for a second.

Brian, thank you for a fantabulous time!

Twins

Growing up, I've always envied twins. Really, how cool is it that you get to live with your best friend, share your toys and clothes and tell secrets?

Above all, you always have somebody to play with, fight with and laugh with.

I think that's totally awesome and I hope I was able to capture their bond.

You know I always have a hard time deciding between color and b&w

Proof

Soo...I just came back from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) convention in Vegas and realized that I actually don't have anything to prove it. NO PICTURES. What was I thinking? I carried around my heavy camera, lens, and a flash the whole time I was there and I DID NOT TAKE ANY PICTURES.

laaaaame

So here's a photo of my badge...representing good 'ole Torrance.

Anyhoo, I learned many new and exciting tricks, so stay tuned!

Oh, and be sure to check back because I will be giving away free sessions

I hope there aren't too tacky

Just the other day when Jimmy and I were at Home Goods rummaging through their goodies, I said to him, "Why does Valentines have to be so tacky?" I mean, the bright pink hearts and shiny red plasticy things are definitely not appealing. On top of that I'm really into heart shaped chocolate cases and white teddy bears. So, aside from white and pink candles, there're nothing elegant about V-day.

Fast forward to last Thursday.

2 days ago I came home to a beautiful bouquet of tulips. And guess what? I LOOOOVVE tulips! They are my absolute favorite! If it wasn't for their price, I would buy myself a bouquet of tulips everyday and surround myself with them. AND this is what my card said:

I guess Jimmy was listening to what I said.

I guess V-day is not so tacky after all.

Little Miss T

I love it when kids are so excited to show me something. Usually it's their toys or their drawings. For Miss T, it was her awesome backyard.

Check it out!

She also made sure I took a photo of her Ariel slippers.

...and her rock collection

Bright Light Blue

Some call it sky blue. Others may describe it as pastel, light blue or the ugly LA Unified blue. I, on the other hand, think that the BEST name for this color is "bright light blue".

I'm not an expert on paint, color coordination, or anything related to decorating. Everything you see was decided by Jimmy. All I did was drool over the color and stress over the outcome.

So here you go...our *new* and *improved* living room! And just cause I love it when they show before and after photos on HGTV, I decided to do the same.

Before: Boring white wall

After: A splash of color with tons of shelves to display photos and our favorite books!

Whadda think?

Whoo Hooo~!

Alright, yesterday's post was about my dad and he got his 24-hour of glory. Now it's my turn. Guess what? I got accepted to be a part of WPPI! (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) This is a HUUUUGGEEE deal for me since WPPI is one of the largest and respected photographer organization. It's definitely an honor be a part of it.

Mid-life Crisis

For as long as I can remember, my dad has wanted a Z. Now, after what it seems like 50 years, he finally got it. No more drooling over the magazines or begging my mom. It's here. And my dad is SO. FREAKING. EXCITED.

Told ya he was excited. I bet you anything he's going to sleep in it tonight.

Proud owner.

Personally, I don't think the Z really goes with our driveway. Oh well. He doesn't need to know that.

This thing is so brand-spanking new and shiny.

Anywhoo, thanks for checking in! Just to let you know (because I know that you totally care), I'll be attending WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) in Vegas next week and after that I have several photo shoots lined up. Stay tuned!

6 years old!

Yesterday I braved myself and went to Ryan's birthday party at Pump It Up. Pump It Up is basically a crazy big warehouse filled with crazy big jumpers. I mean, it's not one of those jumpers you see in front of the houses...these jumpers were HUMONGOUS. So big that even I went down the slides...several times...without deflating them.

Shhehh...I guess this is what my world will consist of when I have a child...Crazy big jumpers.

Here are some photos of Jimmy and Ryan while they took a little break from...you guessed it. Jumping.

Happy 6th birthday little guy...I love you!
